A whole lifetime has gone by and I’m not the same person I once was…… but I’ve finally come back to the living again.

Miss Friendly Florist and The Kids About To Load Up! |
Today, when I was driving home from our “May Day” flower delivery, she just kind of came back. I was driving home, exhausted, after delivering a plethora of bouquets with my children and grandchildren. One day I was just a passenger watching life go by, and then, almost as quickly as it left, today I was me again and feeling like I was really living.
I had always wanted to deliver May Day baskets. I thought it would be great fun. My friend, Friendly Florist, always full of adventure and ready for anything jumped at the idea of bringing flowers to widows on May Day. Together a brainchild of an idea was born. We recruited some of my grandchildren to do an art project of flower holders and then we piled into her vehicle and drove all over, up and down Yaak delivering surprise bouquets to mostly widows, but a few others as well. It was a day of smiles and hugs and joy. Nobody frowns about smiling children handing them a bouquet, nobody. And so, driving home, for the first time in years, I felt like writing my story again…….. The Story of Yaak Adventures.
I’m not working as an emergency nurse anymore. Now I’m brokering real estate deals up and down the valley. My hair now has a lot of white frosted into what was once dark and lovely. Instead of a big bunch of children at home, I have 2 now. Consequently, I have 10 grandchildren and 1 on the way. I’m living in a different house in a different part of the Yaak. The days have past, and a new life altogether has come which kind of reminds me of May Day in itself. Miss Friendly Florist Preparing Flower Holders with The Kids
Many of us have lost a great number of things in our lives, sometimes so much so, that we don’t know if we can ever really live again, but with every death, with every winter season, eventually there is new life, and we have to celebrate it and remind others, kind of like we did today.
We ended up at her adorable home.
